
Carrie is a Mental Health Counselor.
Carrie’s approach to therapy is compassionate and creative. She believes that you are the expert on your own life and experience, and that we can all benefit from looking at familiar patterns and problems in new ways. Events, circumstances, and even life in general can feel pretty overwhelming at times, and having someone who empowers you to get “unstuck” in your corner is a powerful tool.
Counseling with Carrie is personalized and solution-focused, helping clients develop practical skills to manage current challenges while also exploring the underlying factors that may have contributed to their situation. Carrie’s focus is on establishing relationships with clients where they feel safe to be their truest selves, to try new things, to learn from past thoughts and experiences, and to work toward a fulfilling future. She uses a combination of techniques, borrowing from cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and liberatory approaches, as well as others.
